Winter Wonderland...

Winter Wonderland is one of my favorite holiday terms.  Out of the big book of holiday words and phrases it is the one that continues to represent all of the things that make this season so cherished.

I recently had the great pleasure to photograph Janie and Heath on their Winter Wonderland day.  Janie wished for snow on her December day and although it held of until the late evening, and although it made getting to Kansas City to depart for their honeymoon a bit more tricky, she got snow.  It was blustery and ice cold, so there are no snow portraits, but snow makes for lovely memories.  People cuddle a little tighter, linger a little longer, and believe in the magic of Christmas a little more.

There was not a whole lot of sunlight during the day, but luckily enough it peeked out for about 3 minutes to light up this gorgous dress.

The shorter veil lined with lace was Janie's mother's veil when she was married.  Janie paired it with the longer veil for a dramatic and modern touch.  It was truly beautiful.

A cute little Christmas ornament on their tree at home...

(I don't know if you can tell, because this photo is pretty small, but Heath's ring is on the snowman groom and Janie's ring is on the ornament's string.)

There are many more to come soon....
